We are fortunate to have a local vegan baker, Noble Bread, in Arizona. They make oil-free bread, bagels, wraps, and tortillas. Their products are sold at local farmer's markets all year round and in specialty shops around the valley.
But, if you don't live in Arizona, you can find oil-free bread in the bakery section of your local grocery stores. Just make sure to check the labels. Although some bakery breads contain oils, 90% are made without oil.
So, get out of the bread aisle, where the bread is full of preservatives and oils.
How to Cut a Bagel for Bagel Chips

Bagel Chip Ingredients
- Whole-Grain Bagel: I bought the whole-grain bagel at my local bakery.
- Water: The water is used to thin the mixture.
- Miso Paste: I used yellow miso paste but white miso paste works as well.
- Lemon Juice: The lemon juice tones down the miso mixture and gives it a fresh taste.
- Garlic Powder and Black Pepper: Garlic powder and pepper add flavor to the mixture.
Bagel Chip Ingredient Substitutions and Variations

- Or add different combinations of dried spices, like dill, rosemary, or your favorite seasoning blends.
- I served my air-fryer bagel chips with hummus. But we also love dipping them in Vegan French Onion Dip, Vegan Spinach Artichoke Dip, Vegan Layered Dip, White Bean Avocado Dip, or White Bean Dip!
