Despite the negative research surrounding soy and tofu, more recent studies prove the exact opposite. Although I only eat tofu a couple of times a week, I have found it is a vegan dream! In fact, no matter what marinate I choose, tofu absorbs the flavors like a sponge. Grilled Maple & Stone Ground Mustard Tofu, for example, is the perfect addition to a salad or bowl.
BENEFITS OF TOFU
First, it is essential to prepare tofu correctly to enjoy all it has to offer. For instance, most people who don't like tofu have usually experienced a mushy texture with a bland taste. Indeed, tofu can be enjoyable and delicious if it is pressed slowly and marinated well. Cooking, despite its importance, is not as important as the press.
Secondly, The Perfect Pressed Tofu for Grilling, Baking, or Cooking in a Skillet can be achieved by anyone! Then, all you need to do is cut the pressed tofu for the dish you wish to make.
CUT IN HALF INTO 2 LARGE SLABS; THEN IN 2 MORE SLABS
Then, cut again into 1/2 inch strips; you may prefer 1-inch cubes as well, depending on the dish you are preparing.
CUT INTO STRIPS AND PUT INTO A CONTAINER WITH THE MAPLE & STONE GROUND MUSTARD MARINADE
PLACE A TOP ON THE CONTAINER AND SHAKE IT ALL ABOUT!
Next, I let it sit in the marinade, refrigerate for at least an hour, or preferably overnight. The longer the tofu marinates, the better the results.
Even though I prefer to grill my tofu (I LOVE THE TASTE AND GRILL LINES), not all climates allow for grilling throughout the year, for that reason, I have provided directions for baking as well as air frying.
