Vegan Mashed Potatoes

Creamy, delicious mashed potatoes with 3 ingredients. No vegan butter or seasoning needed. You can't ask for easier than that!

  • 2 large baking potatoes peeled, and cut into equal sized chunks (2 inch pieces)
  • 1 Tablespoon white or yellow miso paste I used white
  • ½ cup unsweetened unflavored almond milk (or plant milk of choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste I didn't use any


  • Sliced green onions


  • Place potatoes in a pot, and cover with water
  • Add a small amount of salt to the water
  • Bring to a boil
  • Boil for 15-20 minutes, until potatoes are tender and can easily be pierced with a fork
  • Drain potatoes
  • Place potatoes in a bowl
  • Add miso paste and milk
  • Using an electric mixer or immersion blender blend until smooth



These mashed potatoes are so flavorful; I didn't even need vegan gravy. But, I did make a fabulous vegan strudel, and since I had the gravy made, I added a dab or two! YUM!
