Vegan Dill Dip Ingredients
- Plain Vegan Yogurt: Choose unsweetened, unflavored, plain vegan yogurt. I like Kite Hill or Forager brands.
- Lemon Juice: I prefer using fresh lemon juice whenever possible.
- Garlic: Again, fresh garlic is best!
- Dill: Fresh dill has a fresh, citrusy flavor with a grassy undertone and a hint of sweetness.
- Garlic Powder: Even though I used fresh garlic, adding garlic powder gives the dip a deep flavor. While fresh garlic has a sweeter and more subtle flavor than garlic powder, a little garlic powder can go a long way.
- Onion Powder: Onion powder has a concentrated, savory flavor similar to fresh onions but milder and less intense.

Recipe FAQs
Of all the nondairy kinds of milk you could use for yogurt, cashew milk works best, turning pleasantly sour with an underlying sweetness. If you wish to go beyond cashew milk and use soy milk, coconut milk, or your homemade nut milk,
Non-dairy yogurt is quite pricey, and making it at home is quite easy and much less expensive than buying it at grocery stores. It's gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free yogurt that has only two ingredients and endless options for toppings, mixes, and more!
Vegans can obtain probiotics through fermented plant-based foods such as sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, tempeh, and vegan yogurts made from almond, coconut, soy, or other non-dairy milk. Additionally, vegan probiotic supplements are available, providing a convenient way to include these beneficial bacteria in their diet.
Tips
- For a more profound lemon flavor, add lemon zest.
- Add a little plant milk or water to thin to a desired texture if used as a salad dressing.
- If using dry dill, remember it is much stronger than fresh dill.
- Add a little crushed red pepper to give your dill dip a little kick.
- The dip stays fresh for 5-7 days in the refrigerator.
- I do not recommend freezing the dip, so if you want to make a smaller amount, cut the recipe in half or smaller if preferred.
- Let's face it; homemade dill dip is better!
You will love this versatile vegan dill dip recipe if you are a dipper. Yep, this is the best vegan dill dip EVER!
