    Why I Love This Recipe

Let's be honest: easy is always better. And the fewer ingredients a recipe has, the better.

Therefore, I have embarked on a journey to create easy, delicious dips, sauces, and dressings.

So, if you love to dip, spread, drizzle, or toss, check out my collection of sauces, dips, and dressings.

    Vegan Dill Dip Ingredients

Vegan dill dip ingredients: plain vegan yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, dill, garlic, and onion powders on the counter.
    • Plain Vegan Yogurt: Choose unsweetened, unflavored, plain vegan yogurt. I like Kite Hill or Forager brands.
    • Lemon Juice: I prefer using fresh lemon juice whenever possible.
    • Garlic: Again, fresh garlic is best!
    • Dill: Fresh dill has a fresh, citrusy flavor with a grassy undertone and a hint of sweetness.
    • Garlic Powder: Even though I used fresh garlic, adding garlic powder gives the dip a deep flavor. While fresh garlic has a sweeter and more subtle flavor than garlic powder, a little garlic powder can go a long way.
    • Onion Powder: Onion powder has a concentrated, savory flavor similar to fresh onions but milder and less intense.

The Best Vegan Dill Dip Ingredient Substitutions

    • Swap vegan yogurt for cashew sour cream or vegan cream cheese. Or choose your favorite vegan yogurt.
    • Bottled lemon juice works in a pinch.
    • Use half the amount of fresh dill indicated in the dill dip recipe if using dry dill.

How to Make the Dill Dip

How to make vegan dill dip in a bowl.
    • As simple as this vegan dip recipe is, all you need it s bowl and a spoon.
    • Add all the ingredients to a bowl and stir.
    • That's it!

    Serving Suggestions

Dill sauce on the bread of a sandwich.
    • Try spreading the dip on your favorite sandwich or burger.
    • Dip your favorite veggies or potato chips.
    • Air Fryer Bagel Chips are delicious with the best vegan dill dip!
    • Use a pasta salad dressing or green salad dressing.
    • Toss the dill sauce into hot pasta with your favorite veggies for a creamy, dreamy dinner.

    Recipe FAQs

Which plant-based milk maks the best yogurt?

Of all the nondairy kinds of milk you could use for yogurt, cashew milk works best, turning pleasantly sour with an underlying sweetness. If you wish to go beyond cashew milk and use soy milk, coconut milk, or your homemade nut milk,

Is it cheaper to make vegan yogurt?

Non-dairy yogurt is quite pricey, and making it at home is quite easy and much less expensive than buying it at grocery stores. It's gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free yogurt that has only two ingredients and endless options for toppings, mixes, and more!

How do I get probiotics as a vegan?

Vegans can obtain probiotics through fermented plant-based foods such as sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, tempeh, and vegan yogurts made from almond, coconut, soy, or other non-dairy milk. Additionally, vegan probiotic supplements are available, providing a convenient way to include these beneficial bacteria in their diet.

    Tips

    • For a more profound lemon flavor, add lemon zest.
    • Add a little plant milk or water to thin to a desired texture if used as a salad dressing.
    • If using dry dill, remember it is much stronger than fresh dill.
    • Add a little crushed red pepper to give your dill dip a little kick.
    • The dip stays fresh for 5-7 days in the refrigerator.
    • I do not recommend freezing the dip, so if you want to make a smaller amount, cut the recipe in half or smaller if preferred.
    • Let's face it; homemade dill dip is better!

You will love this versatile vegan dill dip recipe if you are a dipper. Yep, this is the best vegan dill dip EVER!
